In these particular assignment for subject History of Visual Communication, which is specify in history of writing system, I will choose graphic communication in ancient Egypt. Among many people, the Egyptians were the least warlike. They were protected by seas and deserts, and did not need to fear about raids from other armies. They enjoyed life, and wanted it to be everlasting. Many of their main interests were focused on their family, home, and work. The dry air and drifting desert sands have preserved many records of ancient Egypt until modern times. The ancient Egyptians lived colorful, active, and eventful lives. Many were creative artists, skilled craftsmen, and adventurous explorers. The ancient Egyptians loved nature and had a lively sense of humor. They were among the first people to try to find answers to questions concerning man, nature, and God. They also considered the relationship of man to society, but regarded other people as savages.

They captured and enslaved thousands of men and women from other lands. They live near the Nile River which is has 6,689 km or 4,157 miles trough the northwest of corner of Africa until the Mediterranean Sea and this is one of the longest river in the world. Moreover, it was the only source of water, and it provided a form of transport.

By the time King Menes merged the land of Egypt around the year 3,100 B.C, a number of invention from the Sumerian in Mesopotamia reached the Egyptian, such as: Cylinder seal, Architecture design of brick, decorative design motifs, and fundamental of writing. Sumerian invented their pictographic writing into the abstract "cuneiform", but at this stage the Egyptian has retained their picture writing system that call "Hieroglyphics" ( that in the Greek means "sacred carving" but in Egyptian "The God's word), for almost...
