"The Ultimate Trial"

The most emotional experience I have had in my life came about less than a year ago. My parents sat my siblings and I down to inform us of the tragic news. I always knew that when my mother began to cry before she started speaking, something was very wrong. It turns out that my uncle, who I admire and look towards as a role model, was being charged with health care fraud. This came as a major shock to everyone. In my family, where all of the cousins, aunts, and uncles live in the same neighborhood, we all face our problems together. When something tragic happens to one of us, it affects every single family member as well. My uncle has always been the jokester of the family
ever since I could remember. He could make anyone laugh, and he seemed to be happy in whatever he was doing.

That is why it came as such a shock to me, that someone so optimistic and positive could have done something so bad. My loving uncle and my mothers only brother was now facing up to 10 years in prison.
My grandfather started his own Nursing Home business forty years ago, and almost every uncle of mine, along with my father, work as administrators for it. As you can imagine, this extreme news greatly affected my entire family, especially the members involved in the business. The seven nursing homes my family once owned has now turned into four. The profit the nursing homes were once making has shifted towards debt. The atmosphere is not one of happiness and positivity, but rather it has become one of sorrow and pain. I would wake up every morning to an angry father, who once loved going to work,
