I personally am against censorship. I am particularly against music censorship, censorship in schools, and television censorship. There are many reasons that censorship is bad for the society, but I am particularly against these types of censorship.

First of all, censorship in general completely violates the first amendment of the constitution which is "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances", or to speak at a lower level, freedom of speech and expression. If a rapper or a singer is expressing his thoughts through a song, how will he or she be able to do that when he or she cannot say certain words? In stores, certain music albums are not allowed to be sold to minors, but do it really stop children from buying these albums? How do we know if they do not borrow it from a friend? Download it from the Internet? How do we know if they do not ask another person to buy them that album?

Censorship in schools is also a big problem in our society because it sometimes keeps students from learning correctly in schools.
