Should people be allowed to kill each other? Should killing others be legalized even if it's dressed up in a fancy scientific word? No? Well, that's why I believe Euthanasia should not be legalized. Euthanasia is a fast, painless death, but in most cases, not painless at all. Henrickson and Martin 24 say, and I quote; "Euthanasia is the inducing of painless death of a person for reasons assumed to be merciful". Those two words do not belong in the same sentence. Mercy is understanding and sympathy. While death is the ripping of a person's soul from their bodies by old age, disease and various other forms that should not include Euthanasia.
Some people who watch mothers and fathers and other important family members on life support machines, feel that bit better that their loved ones soul still exists in the body, maybe they don't talk, but you don't have to talk to exist do they? So, why do people argue about why Euthanasia should be legal? Pulling the tubes out of someone that is keeping them alive in front of their family is barbaric.
Other types of Euthanasia are lethal injections into the brain, gas, and removal of life support equipment, the withdrawal of food and fluids and halting of vital medicine. Could anyone really put his or her families through that? Could people really sit back and watch while a doctor performs a barbaric operation on someone they love? Should their last seconds alive be screaming in pain, or watching their loved ones cry while they die? This is why I feel Euthanasia should not be legalized; now lets consider the cost of insurance. The first doctor who was guilty of illegal Euthanasia was fined $10,000 and lost his job all for injecting poison into...
Euthanasia
I know that this topic is an emotive one, but I think your essay suffered from being so obviously anti-euthanasia.
It was probably a little too short to try to encompass any kind of acknowledgement as to the reasons why people are pro-euthanasia - but if you had managed to do so I think your essay would certainly have benefited.
We don't all have to agree with each other on the content of our essays, but I don't think you wrote this as well as you write a lot of your other work.
