Dear Faber,

I hope you are doing well. I wanted to send a letter to say thank you. Thank you for listening to me while no one else did. I couldn't have done anything I did without you. I had no one to go to, but you saved me. Without you I would have just died an unfinished life, killed long ago by the hound.

I also want to let you know that I got away fine. It is of course all thanks to you. I am now living peacefully out in the country. I hope we will meet again one day.

It is nice to know that even after all the bad things that happened to our world, there are still some people with morals. I guess no matter what happens to our society, there will always be the few people that shine through the darkness and stand up for what is right.

Your little green bullet idea was ingenious. Your voice in my ear is what lead me through my troublesome times. We are a great team. With all your help I finally made it to my dream. My lifelong dream, even though I may not have knew it, was always to be free from this society. You have completed my life and I do not know how to thank you for that. I hope you have survived.

Yours truly,

Guy Montag
