Body: France is the third largest country in Europe, right behind Russia, and Ukraine. France has a vast variety of environments and culture. The highest mountain peak in France is Mont Blanc. France faces a total of three seas, they are: the north sea, the Mediterranean sea, and the Atlantic ocean. France also has five major river systems, they are: Seine, Loire, Rhine, Rhone, and Garonne. The Loire River has the largest drainage basin of any river in France. France has many climates, but the three major climates are: oceanic, Mediterranean, and Continental. The dominate climate is oceanic.

Landscape and animal life is a major part in what keeps France popular, once forests covered mostly all of France, but over time people have changed the landscape. France has much great landscape for animal life. The larger animals in France are: red deer, fallow deer, and roe deer. Wild pigs, brown bear, red foxes, and wild cats have been seen in parts of France, beavers are also located there and are protected by law.

Frances population is still growing, and at 1995 it was 58,172,000. In 1990 France ranked 18th in most populous nation in the world.

The french languages is one of the worlds most widely spoken languages.

Religion plays a very important part in French peoples lives. The religion most widely practiced in France is Roman Catholic.

France is worldly popular for it's architecture, France has many beautiful gothic cathedrals, and during the renaissance period many great creations were built such as palaces. The most popular piece of architecture is the Eiffel Tower, it was built in 1889 and designed by a man named Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. It was the largest tower standing at 984, 000 feet until 1930 when the Chrysler building was built in New York...
