Revenge

In the book Frankenstein Mary Shelly develops the theme revenge. And in this book you can see that revenge becomes the answer for both the Creature and Victor Frankenstein right away. This all started from one thing. By Victor abandoning and mistreating his Creature. In the beginning of the book when the Creature begins his life he is automatically abandoned and mistreated by his creator, Victor Frankenstein. So the Creature then wants and seeks revenge.

To a point the Creature's actions are understandable because he wants Victor to feel the pain and loneliness that he has felt because of Victor. Victor is to blame for this. And it is his fault that all of his loved ones are dead. From the first death of William he could have said something, but he didn't because he was too afraid that people would think he was

crazy. I would rather have people think I am crazy and have my loved ones alive, than have all of my loved ones dead and people think I am not crazy.

Victor brings all this disaster on himself. It is his fault for all of the wrongdoing the creature did. I do not think it is the Creature's fault for doing what he did. The Creature only did what he did because of Victor. Victor is the one who got scared and ran away, who mistreated him, and who created and destroyed his female companion. And because of those things the Creature seeks revenge to show him how it feels. The Creature even says "I continued for the remainder of the day in my hovel in a state of utter and stupid despair.
