INTRODUCTION
Kudler Fine Foods is a local upscale specialty food store located in the San Diego metropolitan area. The company has three locations (La Jolla, Del Mar and Encinitas) (Apollo group, Inc., 2006). In order for Kudler Fine Foods to stay competitive, they must maintain a competitive advantage by incorporating information systems planning into the goals of the organization for continued success. With the implementation of the Frequent Shopper Program, It'll keep customers loyal and coming back to a given store. These programs allow stores to track and monitor individual customers purchases and give them reward points based upon those purchases which can be traded in for in-store merchandise as well as outside high end merchandise.
EVALUATION
For the last decade E-Commerce has became a sensational way for customers to shop, but Kudler Fine Foods currently does not have any type of e-commerce systems in place which to help maximize business.
Kudler Fine Foods website lacks online products ordering, which limitation that needs to be overcome. By implementing the Frequent Shopper Program, it will allow Kulder to track purchase behavior at the individual customer level (Apollo group, Inc., 2006). . This information will be significant when refining Kulder's processes and offerings to best satisfy their valued customers (Apollo group, Inc., 2006).
REQUIREMENTS
The new system that needs to be put into place should be easy to use by all concerned as well as offer a secure access point for all those who will be using it.
