The Evolution of Gilgamesh's Character

Your first impression may not be the best, but it's the way you come back from that and change that really defines you as a person and helps to change your character, as we see in the epic of Gilgamesh. This work of literature is a legend and has been around for thousands of years, teaching and informing each person who reads it on how to live and act out your life.

B. It doesn't always matter how you start, but it's how you finish that truly tells a person's character, which is what Gilgamesh shows in the epic.

II. Gilgamesh's character can be judged by how he acts and how he projected himself onto others.

Gilgamesh's actions show his character at the beginning of this epic.

Gilgamesh who is 2/3 god and 1/3 human is the most beautiful and powerful of all men.

No one can resist him and he can't be defeated. Gilgamesh is truly selfish by taking advantage of all of his people and leading them into fear of him. His people find him corrupt and arrogant, while Gilgamesh thinks of himself as a divine god.. Evilness is present in him and it spreads to all around him. And frankly he is an all-around bad person. These actions of his keep going on and on, until the people prayed to the god's to make an equal to him.

Gilgamesh's character and actions got heavily influenced by friends and those around him, but mainly from Enkidu.

Enkidu was created in order to balance Gilgamesh out. Before Enkidu, Gilgamesh would run around doing whatever he pleased. Enkidu's friendship greatly calmed Gilgamesh down. Gilgamesh was not as selfish as before since he now had someone else he...
