AbstractExpanding global can be an enormous risk for a company. Proper research and planning, however, will greatly reduce risks. Aluminum USA is an American company that is expanding globally. The current plan is to expand operations into Japan. This paper will outline the current economical and cultural conditions in Japan and will summarize the many factors that must be considered in order for a company to achieve success when expanding globally. In this paper, the global finance and marketing plan for Aluminum USA will be introduced as well as the financial analysis. The marketing plan will be addressed for an executive committee review so that an informed decision can be made about market entry. In this paper, the goal of global operations for Aluminum USA will be to examine the management of human resources, ethical and legal issues, supply chain management, information technology, research and development and cultural awareness.
