In today’s world many young people (girls and boys) have concerns about global warming. Global warming is the gradual warming of the Earth's atmosphere; it is caused by the increases in the amount of carbon dioxide and other gases being released into the atmosphere by the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. The gases most responsible for this effect are water vapour and carbon dioxide.

The rise of temperature will cause many problems to the world and to us future young people. Some of these problems are:Sea levels will rise due to the melting of the ice caps,also cause flooding in many low-lying area of the worldPlaces which usually get lots of rain and snowfall might get hotter and drierLess water would be available for drinking, showers and swimming pools.

Some plants and animals might become extinct because of the heatThese problems affect us young people in many ways.

For example if sea levels rise, this can mean that in 20 years time when we get older the world may be underwater because of the melting of the ice caps. Would you want that? This can also cause flooding in many low-lying area of the world; because of the floods it can ruin the houses, vegetation and possessions of people.

If places which usually get lots of rain and snowfall get hotter and drier it would mean that people that live in these areas will suffer because if they have vegetation, this can all die because of the lack of rainfall and on top of that if it is dry and hot it would also mean lack of water for the people.

As well if some plants and animals become extinct because of the heat, this would mean that we won’t have enough food to eat, because we won’t...
