Hawaiian Vacation Itinerary Oahu - "The Gathering Isle" ** The weather on Oahu at this time of year is usually sunny w/ trade winds providing cooling breezes, which is the perfect combination for walking, hiking, swimming, etc.

January 4, 2002 ** For today we recommend that you dress comfortable and casual. You will be hiking all day so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Also bring insect repellant, bottled water, and maybe a backpack. You will be seeing some amazing views so make sure to take along your camera. ** For Dinner you can dress nice but casual…not a fancy place.

- 10:00am- Wake up - 10:30am- Breakfast in your hotel room @ the OHANA Waikiki West - 11:30am- Catch the bus in front of your hotel @ the stop - $4 ($1 each) to take the bus to Diamond Head - 12:00pm- Sight seeing @ the Diamond Head Area ** Oahu was born of volcanic eruptions.

See the remains of volcanoes up close and personal. You can actually walk the crater of Diamond Head (the world's famous 720ft. tall sleeping volcano). Most everyone can make the easy walk to the summit of Hawaii's most famous landmark. You will be able to see all the way from Koko Crater to Barbers Point and the Waianae Mountains. The 1.4 mile round trip takes about an hour. *See Volcano Brochure ** Along the hike you will see many natural wonders among the Puu Ualakaa State Park region. Such as: lava cliffs, geysers, the Halona Blowhole. These are some terrific views, which are great photo opportunities. Keep your eyes open for Puu O Mahuka Heiau, which is the largest sacrificial temple on Oahu. This historic state site is about 5 acres and is located on a 300ft. bluff. Don't disturb the offerings or walk on the stones-it is considered disrespectful. This is a breathtaking view!!! - 2:00pm- Lunch @ Fiascos Restaurant - About $10 a person ($50 for the meal + tip) *See Brochure/Menu - 3:30pm- Back out for more sightseeing in the Makiki-Manoa Cliff Trails ** Here you will get to walk through a rainforest and along a ridge top with non-stop views. The Manoa Falls Trail is an .8-mile (one way) hike, which is terrific for families. Throughout your hike keep your eyes open for the famous thundering waterfalls, and the tropical flora gardens (including several rare Hawaiian trees), pineapple trees, and for a wedding grotto (a cave where many couples go to get married). These are spectacular views, which are excellent photo opportunities.

- 5:00pm- Catch the bus @ the Diamond Head Visitor Center stop- $4 ($1 each) to take the bus back to the OHANA Waikiki West hotel - 5:30pm- Shower and clean up for dinner @ your hotel room - 7:00pm- Dinner @ The Terrace Grille, which is at the Hyatt Regency Resort (w/in walking distance from your hotel) - About $15 a person ($70 for the meal + tip) *See Menu - ? - Walk back to your hotel the OHANA Waikiki West ** Total Expenses for the Day** $8 = Bus Fare (Round-trip) $50 = Lunch $70 = Dinner TOTAL = $148 January 6, 2002 ** For today we recommend that you dress comfortable and casual. For both the tour and dinner casual dress is suggested. When you go to the beach remember to bring sunscreen and of course your swim suit. Don't forget your camera…today will also be full of amazing views.

- 9:00am- Wake up - 9:30am- Breakfast in your hotel room @ the OHANA Waikiki West - 10:00am- Relax, Swim, Sunbathe, etc. on the sands of Waikiki Beach (w/in walking distance from your hotel) - 12:30pm- Back to your hotel room @ the OHANA Waikiki West to shower and eat lunch - 2:00pm- Catch the bus in front of your hotel @ the stop- $4 ($1 each) to take the bus to the Pearl Harbor Naval Base - 3:00pm- Report to the Visitor Center for your Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour- $16 a person ($64 for the family) ** Here you will see the Pearl Harbor Memorial as well as the sunken battleship the USS Arizona, the recently docked and decommissioned Battleship Missouri, and the USS Bofin submarine. This tour will take you back to the tragic day of December 7, 1941 - a day of infamy!!! *See USS Arizona Memorial Brochure ** This excursion also includes a tour of the capital city of the Hawaiian Islands - Honolulu. As you take a trolley through the capital you will see what this great city has to offer as well as some interesting historical sites.

- 5:30pm- Catch a bus @ the Pearl City stop - $4 ($1 each) to take the bus to Front Street in Honolulu.

- 6:00pm- Dinner @ Bubba's Shrimp Co. Restaurant (w/in walking distance from your hotel) - About $10 a person ($50 for the meal + tip) *See Brochure/Menu - ?- Walk back to your hotel the OHANA Waikiki West ** Total Expenses for the Day** $8 = Bus Fare (Round-trip) $64 = Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour $50 = Dinner TOTAL = $122
