Human resource development (HRD) includes training and development, career planning and performance appraisal, its focus on the acquisition of the required attitudes and knowledge to facilitate the achievement of employee career goals and organizational strategic business objectives

Training: represents actives that teach employees how to better perform their present job.

Development: involves those activities that prepare an employee for future responsibilities.
