some statistics that would support the information in the first paragraph would make the paper a lot stronger. also a better transition between the last paragraph and the conclusion would help a lot. overall a decent paper

I agree with the author, cloning could make a significant improvement to all our lives. But at the same time there is some validity to those opposed! Cloning is not as yet a stable science and should be treated with caution. For example Dolly the sheep is ageing much fast then normal. At the same time, significant improvements are being made in other areas of research such as artificial livers for example, where scientists have just discovered how to replicate the system of veins or arteries moving through the liver. However there are still problems with antibody-rejection. So the lesson is, that there are no easy solutions. Yes, research should continue in cloning, but do not forget that alternative solutions exist and can possibly be safer.

The information in the essay was useful but I felt that a) it was slightly biased towards the application of cloning and b) didn't explore the ethical side to cloning enough. Although cloning does offer useful alternatives when applied to medicine, organ transplants etc there are huge ethical and moral issues to address, for example the fact that to create a specialised tissue you need stem cells from a foetus or umbilical cord, this would involve cloning individuals in order to obtain these cells and where does that lead to?? the cloning of individuals... great in theory but we don't yet know what side effects there are. An example is that the nucleus taken from a cell 'thinks' the person is of a certain age and so premature aging is possible i.e. Dolly the sheep.

Good, essay some of your points were substantiated in the text. I thought the conclusion was off in the right to chose when the essay was dealing with genetics.
