"What if it Were You" A very good argumentative essay aginst abortion

Though I do disagree with people who do not support abortion I found this to be very well written and thought out. It seems that you are very passionate about the subject. Keep up the good work.

I agree strongly with what you have written and it brings a smile to my face to see other people out there standing up for the right thing even when others are bashing the topic. I enjoyed reading this essay but I do think that in writing an essay that using the word "I" shows a small weakness, as well as the word "conclude"/ "conclusion"... "I" shows that the opinion is yours which people should already know when reading a persuasive essay and stating that the conclusion is the conclusion might say that the reader wouldnt know it was the conclusion without it being stated. THEY SHOULD. and in your essay I would known without those words, but it seems you werent confident in your writing. other than that your thoughts were awesome and I loved it.

I rated your essay good because I thought it was well written. However, I suppose I am pro-choice, although morally, I completely agree with what you are saying. When I was younger I was completely anti-abortion. However, as I got older, although believing a child is a child at conception, I began to realise the importance of choice. Its selfish, yes, but I could never ever have a child right now, for the childs sake and mine. Yes, the child has a right to live, yes it would be selfish of me, but yes, I would also have an abortion, although this would definately not be an easy thing to do. I feel this is a view thats reflected in many young women today. A child would ruin my life. Full stop. I take every precaution there is to make sure I don't get pregnant, but accidents happen and nothing is 100% effective. I'm too young to look after a child.


On a less selfish argument, what about rape victims? I think there are few people that could go through with the birth of their rapists child.


There needs to be choice or else there will be abandoned children, illegal and dangerous abortions, more children in unstable homes and perhaps murdered children (after birth) because of it.

This is an excellent piece of writing for the 13th grade. Your argument is quite strong and convincing. I am also against abortion and I'm sure your words would convince anyone who is for it. :) Keep working!

Ok.. essay is definately well written..no doubts about it. But i mya not necessarily have the same ideas about the content. I aggree with jmk12345 that the author seems to be very passionate about the ide. However, being in a similar situation earlier, I would say... abortion is a necessary evil. Anyways, that is my personal viewpoint. Good content for literature though.
