To use any illegal drug is against the law and personally I cannot stand or tolerate such weak minded so-called people. I can honestly say that I never used an illegal drug in my life, however, I'm sure a few people would question that. That seemed simple enough, but as we all know, this is a much bigger issue than just saying it's an illegal act by law. We need to look at what could happen if people that have illegal drugs in their system, show up for work in my business. In my business, we are subjected to work with dangerous equipment to include some very dangerous work environments. We always put the mission first but over all as a Leader (Supervisor), we always have to look at Operational Risk Management (ORM) or in short, the safety of our unit in our daily work and training environment. I could not even bring to imagine what it was like in the seventies, when the use of illegal drugs was somewhat of a common norm within the service.
The bottom line, drugs and the use drugs, are no good and could not serve my troops or me any purpose. As a member of a Marine Infantry unit, taking part in a live-fire training mission or on the battlefield, drugs can only impair your judgment, or in some cases, your sense of reality which in turn could cause the death of the individual, or worse yet, the death of someone else in the unit. The battlefield is a dangerous place to work and we do not need any further dangers added to the job. Working around live ordnance, firing weapons at know enemy targets are all dangerous business. To have someone with illegal drugs in their system could only make matters worse,
The fight on illegal drugs in the marines-- boring essay.
The U.S.A needs to start putting more money into schools and healthcare and maybe a little less on military so that people can write better essays, contrubute less to the growing number of overweight individuals.
Well I understand that you have much experience in this field but you seem to be a little harsh on how you go about explaining yourself. Repitition is a word that describes this essay best.
I don't see how that the marine corps is the "backbone of america" when all the murder to innocent survillians in poor countries accounts for the imparied decision of one man that may suffer such mission.
I'm sorry but drugs for many people can sometimes calm and help an individual to work under pressure; Marijauna for instance, how much do you think they smoked in vietnam??
Well basically, if someone was dumb enough to enter the marines with a 'zero tolerance' on illegal drugs and still use them then why enter in the first place?.
