In the 18th and 19th centuries, the Industrial Revolution swept across the globe with manufacturing improvement and forever changes the oil industry. This revolution has transformed the world into a modern society with the growth of the America economy. With the revolution evolving, new invention were being made, like the telephone made by Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Alva Edison who invented the electric light bulb, the steam ship, made by Richard Trevithick, and one of the most important invention that change their live, the railroad . But with all this great accomplishment from the industrial age came with the dishonest, abusiveness, and corruption with it. In the 18th and 19th centauries the strongest businesses was the oil industry, owned by Rockefeller and the steel industry, owned by Carnegie.

To begin with the railroad change America, it change people live with the quick transportation between the East and the West, with the railroad and the steamship.

Also the railroads and the steam ship open the whole marketplace; which made people get what they never even say before. As they started they needed to hire more worker but most of the Americans were scared to go with all the journey and wild animal. However they started to hire some of Asian immigrant who came searching for easy money making by searching for gold. The labor was really hard; some of them discriminate with the Chinese and every one work long labor for cheap profit and living under bad condition. The railroad company was using this for their advantage, like choosing their own profit's for shipping, mostly depending on the competition around them. Furthermore, there was a tainted business that scams people with stockholding them.
