Thousands of things in human history changed enormously in 20th century, especially education, which formed a new type that students can choose their curriculum, teacher, and etc., with sufficient freedom. It started to become prevalent in more and more universities for many negative effects that the traditional rigid and passive educational system brings are eliminated. Students also get inspired because with much options and freedom to choose they can design their future careers by their own. Although many conservative experts are skeptic about the rationality of the new type of education, it should be supported by the government and recommended to more universities.

The traditional ways of education, whether the ancient system of Greek Academy or the ones of schools founded by government in 19th century, have a common character that students possess limited freedom to make a choice on what to learn. For most of them that time, instead of being driven by an inner passion to discover the truth, they choose education just for getting a good job and leading a decent life.

The education system was designed to fit the need and like the working-line in the factory, students were required to learn the curriculum rigorously arranged by experienced educators to guarantee that everyone had the fundamental skills and could exert the knowledge on the work.

However, after years of social and technological development, the graduates educated by the traditional system could not follow the step of the era. More and more top scientists or business administrators are required while the conventional schools can only guarantee the basic skills. Although some of the universities started to provide Master's and Doctor's degree as a further education, the talented experts are always scarce.
