SUBJECT: The importance of the behavior exhibited by managers
Undergoing new development and direction, I would like to inform all first-level managers at InterClean that our goal is to provide a full spectrum of cleaning services and solutions that will become our major avenue for sales. I trust you have all read David Spencer's memo regarding the merge with Envirotech, and how they are one of the major domestic competitors in the corporate market and sanitation industry that will assist us in our productivity and profitability. As managers, we must encompass the new idea of "expanding our company--both domestically and worldwide" (University of Phoenix, 2005). The purpose of this memo is to explain how a manager's behavior can affect the productivity of his or her workers, and describe the best practices for working within a diverse work environment.
Furthermore, the memo will describe the types of management action that align with employment laws and those that do not align with employment.
There are numerous factors that can affect the productivity of the workers and these would include: the skills of the employees and upper-management, the quality of the materials, system and procedures, and the knowledge of the employees. However, the most important factor I would like to mention is the attitude or approach of a manager. If management is positive with the employees and procedures, it can create a satisfying work environment that can contribute to the productivity of the organization.
