Executive Summary This report is to investigate the HR practices and policies of international companies which may have subsidiaries over the world. It is believed that company from different country may have different international HR practices and polices which are affected by their culture.

Eastman Kodak Company and Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. were selected for such investigation. The following aspect of the HR practices and policies will be discussed: Recruitment and Selection Training and Development Remuneration and Compensation How the national and company culture of the parent company affect the international HR practice and policy will also be discussed.

Company Backgrounds Eastman Kodak Company Kodak involves in making and researching digital technology, combining the power and convenience of electronics with the quality of traditional photography to produce systems that bring levels of utility and fun to the taking, "making" and utilization of images. Today, the company has manufacturing operations in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia and the U.S.

Kodak products are marketed by subsidiary companies to people in more than 150 countries.
