My name is David Prins. I am taking this class because Psychology is the one subject I've always been fascinated by, hence the only class where I retain any knowledge and actually look forward to going to. I've always been interested in what makes people tick. I've always had a mild fascination with serial killers. This is one trait that my ex-girlfriend did not share. More than serial killers I've been curious as to the differences between psychopaths and sociopaths. After viewing multiple documentaries that conclude illustrate some people are born without the part of the brain that feels remorse really disturbs me and makes me feel pity for those who are unable to feel. How those people hide that part of themselves and learn to display acted emotions to fool even psychiatrists is interesting. However there are dark parts of psychology that I don't know if I would want to unlock.

Such as why are grown men attracted to children.

High school was a very awkward time for me. In middle school I went from being one of the most popular kids to someone who got along with everybody and never got picked on but didn't really fit in during high school. I was also wildly unpopular with the ladies. The moment where I told a girl in my class I had a crush on her, her response was tragic to say the least. "David, I really do like you, but I could never date anyone who is skinnier than me…" Lindsey was 5'1" and weighed 120 lbs tops. I had the physique of Matthew McConaughey in The Dallas Buyer's Club.
