Company unities, downsizing and the challenges of a weakened economy are forcing many workers out of the office and into the unemployment line. Thousands of talented, credentialed people are struggling to find a job. Some longtime veteran workers, facing unemployment for the first time, are competing with recent university graduates for a limited number of positions, while employers, struggling to maintain productivity, are forced to make difficult choices. At this point the way you are searching for the job becomes crucial. Contrary to the common sense, in my opinion job vacancy advertisements are not an effective way. Your effort you spend on networking, recruitment fairs and showing your performance are better ways compared with hunting jobs from advertisements. Because those methods help the employees to make an impression on the employer, maybe even trust them.

A Job advertisement reaches a lot of people. The candidates send their resumes and few are invited for an interview.

Resumes get you access but you've got to increase the possibility of access through different techniques or other proactive ways. Therefore your business references are generally as important as your experiences. On the other hand most jobs are even never posted. Finding professionals with whom you can develop a relationship and gain specific information about current opportunities in your industry is a better way to find a job in most cases. According to researches, 75% percent of all jobs are attained through networking. It is a high percentage that shows the managers tend to hire someone they know or who have been recommended by someone they know.

Secondly, a job advertisement generally gives information about the position that the company is willing to hire somebody to fill that vacancy. Generally it doesn't give much information about the company, project they have been working for,
