Julius Caesar separated and distinguished himself from all the preceding leaders of Rome and while doing so he changed the course of history and the way things were done in the Roman Empire. Julius Caesar was unlike the leaders before him many ways and had different hopes and aspirations for Rome. He was a people's emperor and either loved or hated by all those who knew him. He was a man who knew what he wanted and because of his tremendous work ethic he usually got what he wanted. The Roman Empire fell over fifteen hundred years ago but there is still a hovering aura surrounding Caesar and it is a name that everyone still recognizes till this day.

Gaius Julius Caesar was born on July 12, 100 B.C.E and from he was very young Caesar knew he wanted to be something special and be in power. Caesar was very well educated and studied the previous emperors and leaders of his time.

He found their faults and what they excelled in and created the beginning of what his political positions were from a young age. Caesar was not of the upper class and was part of the populares party, unlike any other emperor; the populares represented the people of Rome. Caesar had political aspirations but could not make his dreams a reality with out money, money that he did not posses. Caesar recognizing this sought out to change it. Caesar with his knowledge of previous politicians he saw that many used marriage as a means of advancing their political careers and ambitions. Caesar married Cornelia the daughter of Cinna the political partner of Marius and the successor to the empire.
