THE "LORD OF THE FLIES"

The Lord of the flies is the first novel which written about the kids of William Golding in 1954 and it belongs to dystopian novel field. Although, when it first publishes, they do not receive many supports from the authors as the proof that they sell fewer than 3000 copies in the United States during 1955 before going out of print. After few years, it becomes a best - seller and earn it position 68 on the Library Association's list of the 100 most frequently challenged books of 1990 - 1999 and finally it adapts to film twice in English. The first film being in 1963 and the second one is in 1990. However, my main focus is the second movie, it is American survival film adapted from the classic novel Lord of the Flies.

It was written by Jay Presson Allen, and directed by Harry Hook. Although there is something similar such as the plot or setting, the film takes more liberties so they also have some differences.

The first similarities we can recognize when we see the movie after we read the novel is the settings. Both the settings of the movie and the novel are occurs in an isolated island in a remote region of the Pacific Ocean "The shore was fledged with palm trees", "a bank covered with coarse grass", "scattered with decaying coconuts and palm trees" and "the darkness of the forest proper". At first, they live in peace together on the beach. They find a conch and set some rules as in the army for the group member "We can use this to call the others. Have a meeting.
