MAHATMA GANDHI

Mahatma Gandhi had many new ideas, words and actions, and was determined to change minds and turn heads to a new and better way of thinking. Gandhi could almost be seen as the Martin Luther King Jr. of his time. Gandhi set his goal for a change in society's way of thinking and was intent on equality for all people of any color or nationality.

Mahatma Gandhi spoke words of love. He spoke that love itself as well as things obtained by love will last forever. Gandhi's actions demonstrate his efforts to accomplish equality for his people. He published pamphlets in political circles and in the Indian press to further his cause. Gandhi established weekly journals for Indian opinions and ideas. He also established law offices in Bombay and Johannesburg, again to help his people. Gandhi was a servant of the people, he organized Indian Ambulance Corps for the British in Boer War.

Mahatma Gandhi was born in Gujarat. Gandhi was fluent in Hindi and English. He remains in the minds of millions, as an individual who began the process of uniting India like none other. A courageous fighter in an entirely new way; Gandhi felt the pain of his followers. To accomplish his goals in battles of peace and ammunition of words; Gandhi helped the Indians and changed the world.
