Many high school students do not want to go to college. The reasons high school students do not want to attend college vary. First, some high school students do not want to go to college because they believe college will not help them. A number of high school students say that they will not need a level of education higher than high school in their life time, for their job does not and will not require a college education. Some high school students feel satisfy in performing jobs such as waiter, security, clerk or cashier in where they don't earn much money, but the sufficient to cover some of their most elemental necessities. Moreover, a number of high school and would rather have four years of pay than four years of investing in their education. The money that they earn working, it makes them believe that they are more economical independent and free from any financial compromise.

Third, some high school students do not want to go to college because they conceive college to be a waste of money. More and more students out of high school are choosing technical schools rather than college because technical schools are less expensive and offer better job opportunities than colleges in some fields. Technical schools offer students a faster way to study careers such as dental assistant, massage therapy or medical assistant. Thus many high schools students do not want to go to college.
