Athletic accomplishments and what they mean to me.

My freshmen year of high school I ran track. It was a great experience for me and I enjoyed it very much. When I was younger I was never very good at any of the sports, but with track and cross country I found something that I was actually good at, and this brought up confidence in myself a great deal. My first year in track, our track team was Conference champions. At the end of that season I received the most improved runner award. After one year of track I decided that I wanted to do some more running, so I joined the cross country team. At the end of my first year of cross country, I ran at the conference meet and received all conference honorable mention. My sophomore year of track I had a lot of great performances and my times where a lot faster then they were my first year.

At the end of that season I received the hardest worker award. My junior year of cross country I received 2nd team all conference. My junior and senior year of cross country I qualified to run at the state meet and my junior year of track we were Conference Champions as well as Regional champions. My athletic accomplishments mean a great deal to me. I take a lot of pride in my athletics. Not only do my athletics give me confidence in myself, they also give me goals to reach to become a better athlete. I believe that pushing myself to become a better athlete will help prepare me to push myself in life to receive my lifetime goals.
