Of Mice And Men: The Next Chapter After the death of Lennie George, Candy and the others went back to the ranch and they started to work again. When Lennie died George , Candy were very sad and the others were very mad.
The next day the boss came barging in where George was sleeping the boss went to the bed were George was and told him to get up so George got up. The boss told George that he was sorry for Lennies death so he put his hand in his pocket and pulled out $250.00 and said you can't leave the ranch for thirty days but you still get the $50.00 at the end of the month. George looked down and said okay I will leave in one month.
Later that day George went to see Candy Candy was talking to him self. George walked up to Candy and said the boss just gave me $250.00

Later on that night the guys were playing poker. Candy was handing out the cards.
The next day George went to work. When the had there break George wanted to go to the ranch to rest for a few minutes when he had got to the door he decided to just go back to work.
It was the last day in the ranch George was all ready to go buy the ranch that he wanted to get. A few minutes later the guys were running to the ranch for some reason so George decided to go to the ranch and see what was happening. When George got there Candy was lying down on the floor. Slim said Candy is dead, looks like he had a heart attack. Candy must of got to exicited because were just going to buy a ranch today. Slim and the others carried Candy's body to where lenny's body was and they both buried them. The next day George caught a bus to got to the ranch that he wanted to buy. George was sitting down patiently waiting to get to the ranch. As the hours went by the bus finally got to the ranch. George got off the bus and walked to the ranch. An old lady opened the door and said what do you want you got no right be to be here. George said I wanted to buy the ranch. The lady said what do you want you have no right to be here. George said I want to buy the ranch off you. The lady said come we will talk. George went in and went to the chair and said I want to buy the ranch today. The lady said come in we will talk. George went into the house went to the chair and said how much was the ranch for sale because I forgot how much it was. The old lady said I'm selling it for $600.00. George said I have $500.00 right now I will pay the rest when I start working because I need to make more money. The old lady said okay five hundred dollars is good enough I will get my stuff and leave now I'm going to move to a bigger place in the town some where.
