Queen of the Damned is one of those movie sequels that weren't meant to be made. If you've seen the predecessor, Interview with the Vampire, you will be disgusted with this movie. This movie is just like all the other pathetic movies out there with no developed plot that's just bombarded with sex and violence.
Aaliyah portrays the evil sexy Queen who ruthlessly kills both humans and vampire, but we don't exactly know why she does it. Stewart Townstend plays Lestat, her right hand man, and lover. He's supposed to be a confused and misguided vampire, but he just comes off arrogant the way he generously gives demonstrations of his amazing capabilities with other impotent vampire.
Lestat woke up the queen from her long sleep with his "beautiful" heavy metal music, with lyrics that exposes the existence of vampires.
Now a band of ancient vampires must stop Lestat from performing at his first concert, thus stopping him from doing anymore damage, and they must also destroy the evil "Mother" Queen (they don't tell us why she's the mother, but I think you can figure it out) who's killing everyone.
There are a lot of sub-plots in this movie that are all linked to the main plot. If you don't understand one plot, you will not understand the rest of the movie. The movie is very confusing. They shouldn't have tried to make two very long books into one movie.
If you've read the first three books of the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice (Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, and The Queen of the Damned),
Interesting
It was good how you portrayed your thoughts and opinions about the movie very thoroughly. I feel you should have complemented it more, for the viewers who actually did like the movie, even if there wasn't that much good to say. If it was that bad, you could have written more about what you didn't like or put more disciption in certian areas. In the end, i didn't really feel like you convinced me that it was so bad to not see it.
