What Significance of the character in revealing the central concerns themes of the text

As individuals age, through memories and past experiences, one may develop a fear of mortality. The Novel "Mrs Dalloway" by Virginia Woolf explores the liquidity of the mind and stream of consciousness which is highly evident in the protagonist, Clarissa Dalloway a lady of the upper class. Through memories and continuous flowing of thoughts of Clarissa in one day and evaluating plans for her party, we are exposed to her inner and deepest thoughts, highlighting that she is highly reflective of her experiences with the people in her past, and constantly alludes to the fact that she is aging. This showcases her fear death and mortality, and the inability to communicate the experiences she has enjoyed in her lifetime.

As an individual ages through life, they may tend to contemplate about different times in their life and the decisions they have made in that time frame.

This leads to many snippets of personal memories and experiences, revealing aspects of that beings identity. Within moments upon entering the text, ____________ into a memory "She had burst open the windows at Bourton into the open air". This reference to the opening of windows acts as a vehicle, a recurring motif continuously mentioned throughout the text as a symbol for communication and new opportunities. This memory of Clarissa Dalloway refers to a time when she was a young lady in Bourton where the majority of memories were made. Simply, from the opening of the doors, upon exiting her home, we are faced with a memory from Clarissa's past.
