Music Therapy         I am a person who is a music junkie. Music is involved in a large portion of my life. If it is in my car or alone at my house I will have the radio tuned in. Music gives me a sense of relaxation and it enables me the opportunity to relieve some of my everyday stresses. Music is extremely important to me and without music in my life I would be incredibly stressed.

There was quite a variety in the options to choose concerning music therapy. The option that most interested me was questions that music therapists are frequently asked. A commonly asked question on the site was "How is music therapy utilized in hospitals?" The therapist stated that music is used in general hospitals to. It is used to alleviate pain in conjunction with anesthesia or pain medication.

Its can also elevate patients' moods and counteract depression. It will often promote movement for physical rehabilitation; calm or sedate, often to induce sleep; counteract apprehension or fear; and lesson muscle tension for the purpose of relaxation. Music therapy is related to psychology because it helps human being cope with everyday stresses that they are faced with. Music therapy is valuable to me personally because without it my life would be extremely stressed and I would never be happy. I can use the information in relation to my life because music therapy can help relax me when I feeling down and out. I am not too surprised with what I've learned.
