Have you ever had a feeling you had found the answers to life? For a slight moment in my life, I did. It was a feeling no person or object could make me feel. To me, it was an enlightening experience I will never forget. It left me with morals and values that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Two years ago, I went to a three day retreat that was required for Catholic Catechism. To be honest, I was reluctant to really go anywhere at the time. This was the very last thing I wanted to do during summer. I would complain to my mom even as I was packing my things. I told her, "You don't care about me. You always compare me to other kids. I don't see why this damn thing is even important! What did God ever do for me?" I constantly nagged until it was the day to leave home; I did not come home the same person.

During the trip, the Assumption of Mary Catechism class was also with us on the bus. My side of the class was from St. Agnes Church. We all cracked jokes and became friends as if we knew each other like family. I just played along. As we arrived at the location, we got to our rooms, unpacked, and started talking some more. For the next couple of days, we did activities the instructors planned for us; I was sick of it, down to the very last bone in my body. Doing activities together, learning about our religion, and singing songs made my guts want to ditch my body.
