Alice Walker's essay "Beauty: When the Other Dancer Is the Self," is a detailed and harrowing account of how the author's life has been affected by a childhood accident that left her disfigured and blind in one eye. She even states in her story, ``I want to go everywhere my daddy goes''.Furthermore one day on a Easter Sunday she dressed in a green,flocked,scalloped hem dress and stands up in front of a large audience ready to give a speech.
