Years ago, I never really took getting married seriously. For years, I was a bachelor and to be quite honest, I was having the time of my life. There were times when I felt the urge to settle down, but for the most part, I was quite content with life the way it was. There was no one to answer to, no one to be responsible for, and I pretty much came and went as I pleased. In my mind, single life was the best and I did not want to rush these times along. Sure, I knew I would marry eventually but I figured that I had a lot of time to do so. Also, I knew that if I had to marry, there was only one person that I could see myself settling down with and I had no idea if she was available.

Six years ago, I decided to move from Florida to Tennessee.

I wanted a change in scenery and decided to move back home to be closer to family. I still had no plans of settling down right away. I dated here and there, but never really had a serious relationship. One day, fate stepped in and I received a phone call from my mother. She informed me that the girl that I have always wanted actually lived in the same town as me. That got my attention because she was always the one that got away. I dated her in high school over fifteen years previous and had lost touch with her over the years. I knew I had to find her but had no way of getting in touch.
