If you are obese there are many health risk factors that you could be faced with such as: type 2 diabetes, which is called adult on-set diabetes or no insulin dependent diabetes. This is a disease that raises the blood sugar levels above normal. Being over weight causes stress on the cells that produce insulin making them fail slowly, but if you become more physically active this can help control the blood sugar level.

Heart disease, is where the heart and the blood flow is abnormal as apposed to a stroke which means the blood and oxygen does not flow to the brain normally. If you are on a proper exercise program and eat healthy you are at a lower risk of suffering from high blood pressure, high levels of triglycerides and cholesterol, and low levels of HDL cholesterol, which are the leading causes of death to many Americans.

Cancer is the second cause of death to Americans. Cancer is where the cells attack certain parts of the body and grow abnormally out of control and also will spread to all parts of the body. Scientists are not sure how cancer and obesity are related but they feel that they are.

Sleep apnea is where the neck may have fat stored in it or is inflamed causing a smaller passageway in the neck making it difficult for air to pass through. Weight loss can decrease the amount of fat stored in the neck allowing you breathe easier by opening the passageway larger.

Osteoarthritis, is the deterioration of the tissues that protect the joints, mostly in the knees, hips, and lower back. This is a result of placing extra pressure on the joints and cartilage, and higher blood levels of substances that cause swelling. It is obvious that by...
