Options for Implementing a Leadership Change

Organizations go through changes for the benefit of the company. This paper will focus on the changes at Gene One that will help the company be successful. With The CEO presumably out of the scene, a discussion on what steps the siblings of the late Don Ruiz must take about the change of leadership will be seen. There will be a discussion on the changes that need to occur before the company goes public. There will also be a discussion on the leadership style Gene One needs in order to move to the next level. Finally, there will be a discussion on the end-vision of Gene One.

First there will be an overview of the organization.

Gene One

Gene One is an organization that is a type of biotech organization. The organization produces a product that would do away with the diseases that can be found in potatoes and tomatoes. The product would take the place of the dangerous chemicals that have been used on the products to prevent the diseases from ruining the crop (University of Phoenix, 2010).

There are a few key officers in the Gene One Scenario that have been with the organization from the beginning. The late Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Don Ruiz, he became a successful business owner at the age of 37 and recruited a few friends to help make his dream a reality.
