Organizational Behavior Terminology and Concepts Paper Paul Foster University of Phoenix MGT 307 Patrick Bliss March 8, 2010 Organizational culture and behavior, diversity, communication, business ethics, and change management are all concepts that every organization deals with but which could be totally different in each organization. The course of this paper will dive into the meaning of these terms and the personal experiences in dealing with each within the organization of Regional Transit. Organizational behavior can be defined as "actions and attitudes of individuals and groups toward one another and towards the organization as a whole, and its effect on the organization's functioning and performance" (Business Dictionary, 2010). The behavior of individuals in any workplace setting can affect the way the organization is viewed in the public eye. Organizational behavior studies individuals and their relationships they have with other individuals within the organization. This study can then be used to develop a positive and more productive working environment for all individuals.

At Regional Transit the business is to provide a service for the public to be transported to various areas within the city. All employees are to be dressed according to the job the employee is performing. When performing any job in the field or in the shop, safety must be the first concern not only for the individual but for the passengers and other public.
