Here's some very where a person may have touched something the police will search for fingerprint's. The most common example of a crime scene where fingerprints may be found is a burglary. The FBI receives 37,000 new fingerprint cards a day from Police Departments all around the country.
These cards are sent to the FBI to be classified. ( Prints are classified according to their patterns.) Does gender have an effect on the different types of fingerprint patterns that a person has. Since the discovery of fingerprints there have only been 3 basic types of patterns discovered those are.

I also think this because after all the years that fingerprints have been studied no one has ever seen different types of basic patterns beside the loop, whorl and arch . Those are the reasons why gender has no effect on fingerprints.
The dependent variable to my paper are different types of fingerprint patterns. The different types of fingerprint patterns are loop, whorl and arch.
There are 3 types of loops, 2 types of arch's and 4 types of whorls. The different types of whorls are: Plain, Central Pocket Loop whorl, Double Loop Whorl and Accidental Whorl. The different types of loops are ulnar and radial. The different types of arch's are plain arch and tented arch.
The reason I'm writing this paper is to determine if gender has an effect on the different type's of fingerprint patterns between male and female. Well now you know what a fingerprint is, and what types there are and you also now where they'd be used. Now whenever you see a fingerprint pattern you will be able to ask if it is a loop a whorl or an arch and you will even know what types of whorls arch's or loops there are.
