Money Ball!

Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. (James Patrick Murray)

Since the of age three I've had the opportunity to meet a numerous amount of influential people, as well as make so many enjoyable memories through the sport of baseball. Going into my fourteenth year now, the game has taught me a great deal of dedication and the amount of hard work it takes to become a successful athlete. I have put my whole heart and soul into baseball, quitting every other sport just for the exceptional experiences, opportunities, and amount of joy I receive while playing the game. Nearly every weekend, my parents and I go to the field to practice, bringing our relationship closer and more engaged.

Baseball has shaped me overall as a person. It has allowed me to become active and more social, making a great deal of friends who've taught me a lot to help shape the person I am today. Every year I've made the all-star team and no matter the position my coach puts me in, I always seemed to come through.

When I was nine I played in the Cupertino Nation Little League, where my team had won the district championship. It had been a very memorable time for me, providing a great amount of assistance and abilities to get my team to the playoffs. After winning, my team and I had the opportunity to meet the city mayor and were put on the front page of the newspaper. That had to be one of the...
