Personal Strengths and Weaknesses

As I cannot state it any better than the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, philosophies like this are what drive me inside to reach my full potential. By reaching my full potential, as with any person, tests and obstacles will present itself. Life alone is one large test that presents many diverse obstacles that will either make a person quit or make a person stronger and more confident in their abilities. As a working individual, four years removed from the educational system, I have grown to understand my strengths and weaknesses. Knowing what I can and cannot do in my mind is the first part of growing up. The hard part about knowing is trying to adjust them in order to benefit. In this paper, I will introduce my abilities, areas that need improvement, and actions that I should take in order to better my team, my surroundings, and myself.

Finding my abilities and skills took time and a whole lot of mistakes. I still believe that I am just at the beginning. Having the opportunity to work for a large company has helped me bring out some of the strengths that I am starting to notice. For instance, working with a group of dynamic individuals has brought out my ability to listen and understand a person's needs. Without such, the area where I work will cease to function. It is also critical that we communicate our ideas with each other in order to do our jobs correctly. Such ability also applies in everyday life.
