Earth and land are restless,

Sea is in dismay,

Heavens watching silently,

In wait for evil days.

The plague of war is brewing,

In the hearts of mortal men.

Those who often begin wars,

Now do so once again.

And even though the needs for war

Are not the views of all.

It is because they love their home,

They come at leader's call.

And so the soldiers march, "post haste!"

With hopes of victory.

And as of yet, not one can glimpse,

This war's futility.

With thoughts of heroes, the soldiers

march,

To battle, with readied guns

But war is not what they've been told;

They're slaughtered one by one.

As each man slowly falls in turn,

He comes to darkness, and then,

For him the war is over,

And with his life it ends.

By now, the soldiers are regretful.

They have seen the horrors of war.

The romantic views that they once held,

Are things they now deplore.

Until the battle, and the war,

And the shooting finally cease.

Because those who are safe at home,

Have agreed on peace.

And now these soldiers, in the end,

Unite for 'harmony'.

Yet all the needless pain and death,

One can plainly see.

Straight home go those who do survive,

And come back unmarred.

But in them, a change is seen,

Because they too are scarred.

But for those who are less fortunate,

Whose loved ones do not return.

The folly and vanity of war

Is a lesson they have learned.

For though the war has seemed to stop,

And victory is complete,

The plague of war has no real end,

And it eventually repeats.

Earth and land are restless,

Sea is in dismay,

Heavens watching silently,

In wait for evil days.
