The power of literature

Literature is powerful in many ways. It can express people's thoughts and build them up into brilliant stories. Literature relates to people around the world and helps us understand others. A great example is "Night" by Elie Wiesel. Adichie's speech was also very powerful, because a lot of people relate to her. Also, Solzhenitsyn stories are full of powerful literature because every part has a meaning. Literature is powerful enough to bring peace into the world because someone can have a great piece of literature and receive positive outcomes.

Adichie's speech named "The danger of a single story" is very powerful. She grabbed the attention of many people throughout the world. An example from her speech is "How stories are told, who tells them when they're told, are really dependent on power" (17:37). This explains what Adichie thinks literature can do.

Stories are told every day throughout the world and each one them have a purpose. Adichie's speech makes a difference because a lot of us find out where she comes from and what she went through as a little kid. Her quote is so strong because she's right, it has such big meaning. Stories make a huge difference in this world, every part of a story matter, who tells them, when they're told and how they are told. Literature is powerful enough to unite us, make us equal and bring peace within us. Another great example of strong literature said by Adichie is "Stories matter. Many stories matter. Stories have been used to dispossess and to malign, but stories can also be used to empower and to humanize. Stories can break the dignity of people and but also repair the broken dignity" (17:13).
