Mellisa sighed trying to fix her makeup. "Anthony! Are you ready?" She screamed out of the small bathroom.

"I don't wanna go to church." Came the whiney voice from downstairs.

Mellisa rolled her eyes walking downstairs. "Listen to me, we go through this every week, you're going. And when we get back you're cleaning your room!"

"But mom! Most of that stuff is Chris'" He complained.

Mellisa sighed. "Chris moved out four months ago."

"So?"

"So you're saying he sneaks in the house at night just to mess up your room?"

"It's not impossible!" Anthony said with a grin.

She shook her head. "Just finish getting dressed, we are going to be late."

"Fine." He said pushing past her and going into his room.

She sighed again looking in a small mirror in the living room and going into the kitchen, pouring herself a small glass of water. She rubbed her temples in an attempt to get rid of a pounding headache...it

didn't help. "Hurry up!" She screamed.

Anthony came running down, and bent down to tie his shoes. "Ok, ok I'm ready." He said.

Mellisa frowned looking him up and down. He was wearing a dirty t-shirt and jeans, his hair was uncombed and sticking up in different places. "You're going like that?" She asked.

"It's just church." He said shrugging and walking outside.

She just shook her head and followed out slowly, locking the door. Walking to the car she noticed her neighbor Tim approaching her. "Hello Mellisa."

She plastered on a weak smile. "Uh hi Tim, this really isn't a good time we're late."

He nodded. "I'm sorry it'll just take a sec, do you think that I could possibly use your garage to fix up my car? It's leaking oil and I don't really want...
