Public School vs. Homeschool
All parents want what's best for their children, right? In Iva Dragostinova, "Negative Effects of Homeschooling", Out of Stress (August 2006), she states that homeschooling comes with drawbacks. All parents want what's best for their children. So the question is, is homeschooling really the best choice or is public school? The article, though lacking in a certain area of rhetoric, proves to be trustworthy with prudent new information on why sending your children to public school is the best choice.
Iva Dragostinova's article states that all parents want to educate their children in the best way possible and therefore, whether choosing public education or homeschooling, parents want to do what they think is best for their child. The purpose of her article is to share the negative effects homeschooling has on children.
She first examines what homeschooling entails before giving details about the negative effects or drawbacks with homeschooling.

Ultimately, parents who choose to homeschool their children do so because they want to have control over what their child learns and how he/she learns it. Most parents of homeschooled children have the responsibility of following the national or state curriculum and materials the same as a public school.
She begins to examine some of the negative effects of homeschooling. Some of the drawbacks include socialization, independence, social interactions, confidence, and routine. Socially, kids learn these skills when they are subjected to the interaction of people outside of their family.
