INTRODUCTION:

Many concepts and theories have been developed by the various critical tourism scholars. To explain tourist behavior critical scholars have highlighted Social Construction - methodological approach about Tourist behavior, The Body - The Senses, Motivational factors, Tourist needs and satisfaction, destination images and decision making, Tourist diversity and social inclusion.

This essay includes the application and relevance of all the above mention concepts of Tourist behavior to my own real life experience as a Tourist.

An overview is given as how to the Tourist behavior notion and assumption would benefit a tourism industry entrepreneur and managers in managing the tourist experience.

Last time I went on Holiday with my Husband.

We travelled to New York City of United States of America in May 2010 for 04 days. Our intention to travel to New York was to escape from our routine life and busy work schedules and to have fun filled memorable experience. We explored New York's most famous places the Times Square, China Town, Statue of liberty and Wall Street along with the many more highlights of this vibrant city. Tourist behavior concepts developed by various scholars has given me more clarity and in depth understanding of my touristic experience of this trip.

Knowledge comes about through language and other social practices. Cultural and Historical background of tourist and their Social constructions are influential factors behind the kind of knowledge a tourist gains from the various available sources. The basic concept is about Social Construction. Critical tourism scholars have focused on Social...
