Failure

Failure is not easy to overcome. It can either make or break you. The strong people can learn from failure and rise again to the challenge. The weak people will fold and crumble. As said by Michael Jordan, "I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying." Failure can make even the strongest of people become weak. They can't get through the mental aspect of that when you fail you haven't lost everything. You've only lost the one battle not the war. Whether you fail or succeed is all based on you. Many times people can see failure as a success. In my experience with athletics and life in general I've failed time and time again but I've had a certain resiliency in me to never give up and to get back up and succeed the next time.

One of the times I failed in my life was during our 2013-2014 soccer season last year. Going into the district tournament as the number one team in the state and in the district, we were supposed to win out and become state champions. We were the best soccer team the school has seen. We had beat Jerome for the first time in school history during the regular season. We had only lost one game the entire year. We felt like nothing stood in our way. Nothing stood in our way except for ourselves and the pesky Wood River and Twin Falls soccer teams. In our first game against Wood River we fought hard but lost 2-1.
