The 1920's have had many names over the years, like "The Roaring Twenties", "The Jazz Age", and "The Age Of The Last Generation". The stock market boomed and many people became very rich, very quick. It was considered to be Canada's first modern decade and many new things were invented. Women started to enjoy many sports that were traditionally only men's games. In this decade, many people had money and wanted to spend it in the most fulfilling way possible, having fun.

When the stock market boomed in 20's, people suddenly had money, so they were able to buy things that they had never been able to afford before. Large homes were no longer luxuries because people suddenly had more money to spend. They could go to the new silent movies or go dancing in new clothes. With life becoming financially easier, Canadians were able to make their creative ideas reality, which helped in the process of inventing.

With the help of the stock market, Canadians were now starting to recover from the war and enjoy their lives to the fullest.

It was also a decade of inventing. Many things that made living life easier and more fun came into play. Cars were invented and now people could get from town to town in a days drive, they could visit friends and relatives whenever they wanted to, and it also helped for more businesses along the roadside to spring up. Telephones were introduced into the lives of many Canadians. Radios also started to appear in peoples houses, and they could now listen to the news, hear stories, and even listen to hockey and other sports games. Many inventions were made in the 1920's that did and still are helping Canadian's in their everyday lives.
