Overtime, English poets have written some of the most memorable poems in European culture. As time has passed, the language and its poetry have spread around the globe. Therefore, a lot of the great poetry we enjoy today was created by the some of the best poets in history.

The talented poet, Robert Browning was one of the greatest poets in Victorian England. Born on Camberwell, London on May 7, 1812, Robert was the first child of Robert and Sarah Anna Browning. Most of his education came from home, while his mother was a devoted Angelican and his father was a bank clerk in England. Robert spent much of his time in his father's private library of 6000 volumes in several languages (Goldstein pars.1-2). He developed his interest in writing from an early age and later on he developed his talent, and finally he became known for the collection of his poems, which are still remembered and appreciated by the readers all around the world.

At a very young age he was reading Homer and was already writing poems. Later on, he attended London University and was expelled from Oxford and Cambridge (Birmingham par.2). Robert was a very ambitious intellectual, and knew what he wanted to be in life. Therefore, at age 20 he was convinced he would be a great poet if not the greatest poet. As soon as he grew up he wrote a lot of books and poems and at a point of time, he, met lady Elizabeth with whom he worked for almost two years and finally got married to her. This was one of the world's most famous romances. The couple soon moved to Italy that same year and had a son in 1849. Robert did not become recognized as a poet, until after...
