What's in a name? What's in a name? My name is Dawn. Dawn means beginning anew, or a new beginning. The spiritual connotation is joy and praise. I have always liked my name due to the fact that not very many people have Dawn as a first name. I also love new beginnings and changes. For example, I graduate this year and that means that I start a new beginning in my adult life. I am very excited about this. I have always been kind of a leader person, always hated authority, and anyone that tries to tell me to be someone I'm not. Now finally, I will be out on my own and I will be able to be the person I want to be. Begin my life as I want to and make my own mistakes. The spiritual connotation fits me also because I love to give joy and praise to my friends.

I hate it when my friends are sad, angry, or depressed. It makes me fill bad too. Usually I try to tell them that it can only get better. You see I love my name. I'm also glad that I'm the only one in our school who has it, that way I can be original in my own little way.
