Sarafina In comparison to other countries how much do Americans take for granted? If you hadn't ever got the chance to watch this movie, you might not think that education in other countries was much different from America.
There are many people who go to an American school and everyday they complain about how much work they have to do or they even complain about just having to go to school. Well in other countries there are kids that are really happy if they even get the opportunity to go to a school. There are also many kids who just show up at school, and they just screw around the entire time, and they don't care about what is going on, they just sit there and don't pay attention. There are kids in some other countries that would give anything to be able to go to a school and get an education.

Countries fall into three broad categories based o...They don't have a chance though to go to a school because it isn't provided for them, or they don't have enough money.
Not only do the kids take getting an education for granted, but sometimes we take the freedom and safety that we have at school for granted. Kids in other countries go to school everyday and have soldiers at their schools watching every move that they make, and if they do, or say the wrong thing then they could get taken off to jail, or they could even be killed. That would have to be scary going to school everyday knowing that if you make the wrong move you would be in big trouble.
But also we would have the right to be scared about having violence in our schools too. In the past few years we have had a couple of very tragic events happen in our schools. With the shootings at schools, and even the threats of shootings are scary. Other countries might have the same problem with school shootings, but I don't know if they have that problem or not. It is a pretty scary thing having to go to school everyday knowing that a shooting could happen in your school, but you will never know if or when it would happen.
There are many people that think that kids in other countries have it easy. Well they don't. I think it would be hard to concentrate at school under those conditions. We have it very easy in America, and many times people take what we have for granted. After watching this movie it made me realize how much I take for granted when I'm at school, or even just at home.
